What Glue Are You?

What Glue Are You?
I’ve become attached
Quite unexpectedly,
yet completely welcome.
But now I need to know:
What glue are you?

Post-It Note Glue?

I hope you’re not that 3M mistake
that temporary tack
that never lasts long enough.

Elmer’s Glue?
Washable and weak,
it won’t last as long as we need.
And honestly,
the thought of kids eating it just grosses me out.

Hot Glue?

Ouch. Warm and quick,
but does it ever truly hold?
Maybe for an afternoon craft,
but not good for anything real.

Super Glue?
A surface bond, quick to bond,
but locking parts down
exactly where they first meet.
We need a little wiggle room before settling in.

Epoxy?
What about Epoxy?
The two part glue of choice for fragile broken things
I think that just might work!
It takes two to create the bond
with neither part good for much alone.
It’s a little messy,
and we have to learn the mix
to find the perfect bond.
Mix, stir, and wait a bit.
When we get it right,
it lasts.

Goodness, I hope you are Epoxy.
